The little Tin Soldier

Once there was a boy who had many toys. He kept them all in his room and during the day he spent hours and hours happily playing with them.
One of his favorite games was to make war with his lead soldiers. He put them in front of each other, and began the battle. When they were given away, he realized that one of them lacked a leg because of a casting defect.

However, while playing, he always placed the mutilated soldier in the front line, in front of everyone, inciting him to be the most brave. But the child did not know that their toys came to life during the night and talked among themselves, and sometimes, by placing the soldiers neatly, he inadvertently stuck the mutilated soldier among the other toys.
And so it was that one day the soldier could meet a gentle dancer, also of lead. Between the two a current of sympathy was established and, little by little, almost without realizing it, the little soldier fell in love with her. The nights passed quickly, one after the other, and the little soldier in love could never find the time to declare his love. When the boy left him in the midst of the other soldiers during a battle, he longed for the dancer to realize his value at night, when she told him if he had been afraid, he would respond vehemently than not.

But the insistent eyes and sighs of the little soldier did not go unnoticed by the little devil who was locked in a box of surprises. Whenever, by magic, the box opened at midnight, a warning finger pointed to the poor little soldier.
Finally, one night, the devil exploded.
"Hey, you! Stop looking at the dancer!"
The poor little soldier blushed, but the dancer, very kind, comforted him:
"Do not listen to him, he's an envious one. I'm very happy to talk to you.
And he said it blushing.
Poor statues of lead, so timid that they dared not confess their mutual love!
But one day they were separated, when the boy placed the little soldier on the window sill.

And he said it blushing.

Poor statues of lead, so timid that they dared not confess their mutual love!

But one day they were separated, when the boy placed the little soldier on the window sill.

Enormous rats, teeth gnashing, watched as the unusual sailor passed before them on top of the dingy little boat. But it took more than wretched rats to frighten him, who had faced so many dangers in his battles!

The gutter flowed into the river, and to him came the boat, which in the end capsized without help, driven by turbulent eddies.

After the shipwreck, the leaded soldier believed that his end was near when sinking in the depths of the water. Thousands of thoughts crossed his mind, but above all, there was one that distressed him more than any other: it was never to see his ballet dancer again ...

Suddenly, an immense mouth swallowed him to change his destiny. The little soldier found himself in the dark stomach of an enormous fish, which voraciously flung himself upon him, attracted by the bright colors of his uniform.

However, the fish did not have time to indigestion with such heavy food, since it was caught a short time in the net that a fisherman had tended in the river.
Shortly afterwards he ended up dying in a shopping cart along with other fish as unfortunate as he. It turns out that the cook of the house in which the soldier had been, approached the market to buy fish.
"This specimen seems appropriate for the guests tonight," the woman said, staring at the fish on a counter.
The fish ended up in the kitchen, and when the cook opened it to clean it, she found herself surprised with the soldier in her hands.
"But he is one of the soldiers of ...!" He shouted, and went to the boy to tell him where and how he had found his little soldier with a missing leg.
"Yes, it's mine!" Exclaimed the boy jubilantly, recognizing the mutilated soldier he had lost.
"Who knows how it got to the belly of this fish!" Poor thing, how many adventures he has gone through since he fell from the window! "And he placed it on the mantel where his little sister had placed the dancer.
A miracle had brought the two lovers back together. Happy to be together again, during the night they told each other what had happened since their separation.
But destiny reserved for them another malevolent surprise: a gale lifted the curtain from the window and, striking the dancer, made her fall into the hearth.
The leaded soldier, frightened, watched as his companion fell. He knew the fire was on because he felt the heat. Desperate, he felt helpless to save her.
What a great enemy is the fire that can melt a few lead figurines like us! Swinging with his only leg, he tried to move the pedestal that supported him. After some effort, he finally fell into the fire. Together this time, they were close to each other, so close that the lead of their little feet, licked by the flames, began to melt.
The lead of one's base mingled with that of the other, and the metal surprisingly acquired the shape of the heart.
His little bodies were about to merge, when the child came to pass. Seeing the two statues in the flames, he pushed them away from the fire. Since then, the soldier and the dancer were always together, just as destiny had united them: on a single base in the form of a heart.

The Emperor`s New Clothes

Many years ago there was an Emperor so fond of new clothes that he spent all his rents on dressing with the utmost elegance.
He did not care for his soldiers or the theater, nor did he like to go for a walk in the country, unless it was to show off his new clothes. She had a different dress for every hour of the day, and just as it is said of a king: "It is in the Council", of our man it was said: "The Emperor is in the dressing room."

The city where the Emperor lived was very lively and bustling. Every day many foreigners came to her, and once there were two truants posing as weavers, assuring that they knew how to weave the most wonderful fabrics. Not only were the colors and designs beautiful, but the garments with them made the miraculous virtue of being invisible to anyone who was not fit for office or who was hopelessly stupid.
"They must be magnificent dresses!" Thought the Emperor. If he had, he could find out what officials in the kingdom are unfit for the position they hold. I could distinguish between the intelligent and the foolish. Nothing, let them immediately begin to weave the cloth. And he ordered to pay the two rogues a good cash advance, so that they could get to work as soon as possible.
They mounted a loom and simulated that they worked; But they had nothing on the machine. In spite of this, the finer silks and gold of better quality were made, which they pocketed beautifully, while still working as they worked on the empty looms until very late at night.
"I wonder if they advance with the cloth," thought the Emperor. But there was an issue that made him somewhat self-conscious, namely, that a man who was stupid or inept to his position could not see what they were knitting. It is not that I feared on my own; On this point he was calm; But, just in case, he preferred to send someone else first, to ascertain how things were going. All the inhabitants of the city were informed of the particular virtue of that cloth, and all were impatient to see to what extent their neighbor was stupid or incapable.
"I will send my old minister to visit the weavers," thought the Emperor. He is an honest man and the most suitable judge of the qualities of the cloth, because he has talent, and there is no one who holds office like him "

The old and dignified minister appeared, then, in the room occupied by the two deceivers, who continued to work on the empty looms. "God help us! Thought the minister to himself, opening his eyes like oranges. But I do not see anything! " However, he did not say a word.
The two turncoats begged him to come up and asked if he did not find the color and drawing magnificent. They pointed to the empty loom, and the poor man was still with his eyes disengaged, but seeing nothing, since there was nothing. "Holy God! -thought-. Will I be a fool? I would never have believed it, and no one has to know. Is it possible that it is useless for the position? No, of course I can not say that I have not seen the cloth. "
-What? Does not nothing say the fabric? One of the weavers asked.
"Oh, beautiful, wonderful!" Said the old minister, peering through his glasses. What a drawing and what colors! Of course, I will tell the Emperor that I have enjoyed it extraordinarily.
"It gives us good joy," said the two weavers, giving them the names of the colors and describing the strange drawing. The old man was careful to keep the explanations in his memory so he could repeat them to the Emperor; And so he did.
The scammers then asked for more money, silk and gold, since they needed it to continue knitting. Everything went to their pockets, for not a thread was used on the loom, and they continued, as before, working on the empty machines.
Shortly afterwards the Emperor sent another official of his confidence to inspect the state of the cloth and inquire if it would be ready soon. The second happened to the first; Looked and looked, but as there was nothing on the loom, nothing could see.
"Is it a pretty canvas, is not it?" Asked the two cheaters, pointing out and explaining the precious drawing that did not exist.
"I am not a fool," thought the man, "and the job I have is not loose. It would be very annoying. It is necessary that nobody notices ". And he fell in praise of the fabric he could not see, and pondered his enthusiasm for those beautiful colors and that superb drawing.
"It is admirable!" He said to the Emperor.

All the inhabitants of the capital spoke of the magnificent cloth, so much, that the Emperor wanted to see it with his own eyes before they removed it from the loom. Followed by a multitude of chosen characters, among whom were the two probationary officers, he went to the house where the rogues,  which they continued to weave with all their strength, though without threads or threads. "Is not it admirable? Asked the two honored dignitaries. Your Majesty, in these colors and these drawings, and they pointed to the empty loom, believing that others saw the cloth. Thought the Emperor. I do not see anything! This is terrible! Will I be such a fool? Am I not good for emperor? It would be frightening. "" Oh, yes, she is very pretty! -He said-. I like it, I approve. And with a gesture of pleasure he looked at the empty loom; I did not want to confess that I did not see anything. All the members of his entourage looked and searched, but none of them took anything clean; But all was to exclaim, like the Emperor: "Oh, how beautiful!" And they advised him to open the dresses made with that cloth in the procession to be held shortly. "It's beautiful, elegant, great," he ran from mouth to mouth, and everyone seemed ecstatic with her. The Emperor granted a decoration to each of the two rascals to be caught in the buttonhole, and named them weavers During the night before the feast day, the two deceivers were up, with sixteen lamps lit, so that people would see that they were working actively in the making of the new dresses of the Sovereign. They pretended to remove the cloth from the loom, cut it with large scissors, and sew it with needle without thread; Finally, they said, "At last the dress is ready!" The Emperor came with his leading knights, and the two truhanes, raising their arms as if holding something, said: "These are the trousers." There's the coat. "Here is the cloak ... The garments are light as if they were cobwebs; One would think not to carry anything on the body, but this is precisely what is good about the fabric. All the courtiers agreed, even though they saw nothing, for there was nothing. "Does your majesty wish to take off your suit," said the two rascals, "so that we may dress the new one in front of the mirror?" , And the two simulated putting the different pieces of the new dress, which they intended to have finished shortly before. And taking the Emperor by the waist, they did as if something were stuck, the tail surely; And the Monarch was all about turning in the mirror. "God, and how good he feels, he's doing great!" They all exclaimed. Go drawing and go colors! It is a beautiful costume! "" The pallium under which Your Majesty will go during the procession, awaits already in the street, "announced the master of Ceremonies." All right, I am ready, "said the Emperor. Is not it good for me? - and turned once more to face the mirror, so that everyone would believe that he saw the dress.Result of image of the emperor's suit The helpers of the camera in charge of holding the tail lowered their hands to the ground to lift it, and advanced with the gesture of Hold something in the air; They would not have admitted that they did not see anything. And so the Emperor began to walk beneath the magnificent pallium, while the crowd from the street and the windows said: "How precious are the Emperor's new clothes! What a magnificent tail! The image of the emperor's costume was not allowed. No one allowed the others to realize that he saw nothing, not to be thought of as incapable of being in charge or as a fool.

No suit of the Monarch had been as successful as that. "But he does not wear anything!" Cried a child suddenly. "Blessed God, hear the voice of innocence! Said his father; And the whole world kept repeating what the little one had said in his ear. It's a boy who says he's not wearing anything! "" But he does not wear anything! Shouted the whole town, at last. This disturbed the Emperor, for he boasted that the people were right; But he thought: "We must endure to the end." And he continued more proudly than before; And the camera helps continued holding the nonexistent queue.

THE UGLY DUCKLING

It was a beautiful summer morning in the pond. All the animals that lived there felt happy under the warm sun, especially a paw that from one moment to another, hoped that their ducklings would come to the world.

- It's a wonderful day! - thought the paw while resting on the eggs to give them heat - It would be ideal that today my children were born. I'm looking forward to seeing them because they are sure to be the most beautiful in the world.
And it seems that their wishes were fulfilled, because in the middle of the afternoon, when the whole camp was silent, there were some crunches that awoke the mother-to-be.
Yes, the time had come! The shells began to break and very slowly, the little heads of the chicks appeared.
"But how precious you are, my children! Exclaimed the proud mother. "That's how cute I thought you were.
Only one chick left to go. It turns out he was not so skilful and had trouble breaking the shell with his little beak. In the end he also managed to stretch his neck and peek out his huge head out of the shell.
- Mommy mommy! Said the strange chick in a shrill voice.
The leg, when she saw him, was astonished! He was not a plump yellow duck like the others, but a big, fat, black duck who looked nothing like his brothers.
For fifteen days and fifteen nights he wandered the country and ate what little he could find. I did not know what to do or where to go. No one loved him and he felt very unhappy.
But one day his luck changed! He came by chance to a lagoon of crystalline waters, and there, gliding on the surface, he saw a family of precious swans. Some were white, some black, but all slender and majestic. I've never seen such beautiful animals. A little embarrassed, he raised his voice and said:
- Hello! Can I take a dip in your pond? I've been walking for days and I need to freshen up a bit.
-Of course! Here you are welcome You are one of us! Said one who seemed to be the oldest.
- One of your own? I do not understand…
- Yes, one of ours. Do not you know your own appearance? Get down and look at yourself in the water. Today it is so clean it looks like a mirror.

And so did the duckling. He leaned over the shore and ... I could not believe it! What he saw shocked him. He was no longer a fat duck, but in recent days he had become a beautiful black swan with long neck and beautiful plumage.
Her heart leaped with joy! I had never experienced such a magical moment. He realized that he had never been an ugly duck, but that he had been born a swan, and now he wore all his splendor.

- Join us - we invited your new friends - From now on, we will take care of you and you will be one more of our clan.
And happy, very happy, the duck that was swan, got into the lagoon and shared the walk with those who really wanted him.
